博士生导师，高原动物繁育与功能基因组学科组长。2004和2006年在中国农业大学获得学士和硕士学位,2010年取得佛罗里达大学博士学位。2011年至2014年在华盛顿州立大学从事博士后和研究助理教授工作。2015年入选人才计划，任中国科学院西北高原生物研究所研究员。实验室主要使用分子生物学、生理学、遗传学和基因组学等手段，利用生殖干细胞体外培养、移植和基因编辑等技术，以模式小鼠和高原特有动物为研究对象，系统研究哺乳动物雄性生殖细胞发育和生殖隔离的分子调控途径，在Nature Communications, Cell Reports, Development、PLoS Genetics、 Journal of Cell Science、Stem Cell Reports等期刊发表论文50余篇，参编中英文专著3部。
