刘德梅，博士，副研究员，硕士生导师。2013年毕业于中国科学院西北高原生物研究所植物学专业，获得理学博士学位，同年入所工作。2017年至2018年在墨西哥“国际玉米、小麦改良中心”作访问学者，主要从事高原春小麦抗病性改良育种研究，在Plant Disease,Frontiers in Plant Scienc,The Crop Journal 等国际高影响力期刊上发表SCI论文文章20余篇，主持甘肃省审定春小麦新品种1个，分别参与青海省和国家审定春小麦新品种1个和2个。参与制定青海省地方标准4项、青海省科研成果2项，获发明专利1项。现阶段工作主要围绕小麦中亟需解决的抗条锈病育种问题，一方面在国内外小麦中挖掘兼抗性成株抗性基因，包括QTL定位、精细定位、基因克隆等基础研究，另一方面利用已知和新抗性位点进行累加聚合，改良青海省主栽感病小麦品种，创制新种质。

2013年度入选中组部、中国科学院“西部之光”人才培养计划“西部博士”项目。

2021年度入选中国科学院西北高原生物研究所优秀共产党员。

2021年度入选中国科学院西北高原生物研究所先进工作者。

2021年入选青海省“昆仑英才.高端创新创业人才”之拔尖人才。
